GDTK is temporarily shutting down

As of now it's closed for business. No new orders. No new releases. All pending orders will be sent out before gdtk gets back in action. If you ordered something there's a list and you're on it. I'm broke and have way too much shit going on right now to worry about the label, and most importantly i just don't enjoy this anymore. I need a break. If youve emailed me and i didnt respond, i probably got the email and just can't deal with you right now. sorry.

GDTK will be up and running again when i find a way to do this that isnt time and money consuming, and when it does there will be at least 2 new releases out.

GDTK Radio is on line yall
Add GDTK Radio Is On to your AIM buddy list, or givedaddytheknife@hotmail.com to your MSN messenger. It goes on with the radio stream, and the away message is the link to the stream. It changes every time, so you can think of it like a secret rave party where you don't know where it's at till you call this number the day it's happening. It's usually left on for a couple hours at least, mostly it's online when ever i don't have to do anything on the internet.

Halloween 06 brings us along with spooky spooks the release of 4 new releases on GDTK. These are Yaporigami's XIII, Kkrusty's Egocidal Girl, J-Shot's El Disco De Dinero, and Oddioblender's Gustof Young Is Dead. In addition to that, a zip file of the GDTK Sampler 1 has been added to it's page in the discog (or download it right here if you wish). Kissles

10/28/06 NEW RELEASES BUY EM UP
It is October 28th which doesn't mean a whole lot, except that there are now SEVEN new releases available from GDTK. These are: DJ Jo Quaid 5-Amtek, Oxygen Fad-Another Fucking Lie, Temp Sound Solutions with Ilkae-Lostalikes, i broke my robot-s/t, Kkrusty-The Full Monty, Treesleeper-Chicken & B-Sides, and possibly the only reason I'm even running a label at this point, SABREPULSE-CHIPBREAKWARS. They're in the discog and up at the store. Coming soon, the artists page will be updated, which no one really gives a shit about, short low quality mp3 clips will be added to most of the release pages, and also in the next few days, Yaporigami-XIII, J-Shot-El Disco De Dinero, and Kkrusty-Egocidal Girl will be available. Stay tuned here or at the myspace for new shit.

10/21/06: This is the jam
Ok so I haven't updated in a while, here's the jimmy on what's going to jam. The mithra cd isn't coming out, I guess he got mad that i didn't put mp3s of his release up early enough or something. Which is another point I need to bring up for future reference. This is NOT a net label. I don't put mp3s of releases up for free (with the exception of a couple), cause I mean come on these releases are pretty damn cheap.

6/13/05: Little bits
A new ep has been added to the upcoming releases, Mithra's Failure 4U EP 1, which will be available for 3$ once a) the 3" cdrs arrive and b) the artwork is made up. Orders are being held for 3"cdrs and the vinyl black/white GDTK stickers. I'm replacing the upcoming catalogue numbers with stuff that's ready now, all releases will still come out but the cat. numbers will be different with the exception of Epsilon's 3" because he might have already put it on the artwork. I guess i should email him and see what the business is.

6/6/06: It is a special day?
Today I updated the discog and the store, some prices have changed, all art is being done up the same way so regular CDrs are 4 dollars now and 3" CDrs are 3. All orders made before this update will stay the same price, also all pending orders, and i guess any upcoming orders: i'm a total jag, i'm sending out pending orders after the next shipment of 3"cdrs comes in (about a week)

Today we unveil GDTK-29: Saskrotch's Bit Motivation 101 EP. It's both available as a zip file and a 3" cd-r with full color art for $3. Check it out in the discog, and soon there will be 3 new releases available for purchase: Acrynm-Sense Data, Restart-in ad ver tent, and Tooth.EYE-Kiryu's Internal Demise.

4/9/06: Still Around
Haven't updated in over 5 months or so, sorry. There's new releases that have been out for a while, they're in the store now and will be in the discog soon (so like 3 months). For future reference, check http://myspace.com/givedaddytheknife if you're looking for some news, it's a lot easier to update that page than this one. Coming up soon we've got releases from Acrnym, Sabrepulse, Tooth.Eye and Kkrusty and they are the business. Also future business includes a 3" from Epsilon, one from Saskrotch, the fucking compilation hopefully, and possibly an online free sampler of 2005 and 2006 releases.

11/06/05: More Releases on the way
GDTK-11-15 have been added to the future releases, starring Malarialabs, Stochastic, Di-Bit, Treesleeper and AA.Kurtz. Additionally there will be a release from Sabrepulse
in the future, no idea how long it'll be or when it'll be done. Also My Little Peach is set for a Japanese release on Di-Bit's Merry Works Label, The original 7 tracks from the GDTK release plus remixes from Sabrepulse and Di-Bit.

10/02/05: New Releases
There are two newly available releases: Oddioblender's NOW! That's What I Call Nerdcore Volume 2, and The Wintercamp self titled EP. Also available for pre-order is the Saskrotch EP My Little Peach.

9/17/05: Artwork n shit
I just got the artwork in (read: i just got home from kinko's) and i'm now ready to ship copies of GDTK-3, 4 and 5. The Sabrepulse album is now $4 because color copies are like a damn dollar. Kkrusty and Restart EPs are still $3.
Other stuff: The comp Like We Give A Shit (GDTK-2) is lookin like it's gonna be a 2xCD, because i wasnt paying attention to how many people i asked to do tracks. Cover art is set to be done by Bleeders Anonymous. Also GDTK pins are in production. 1" pins, prices will probably be 1$ alone, 50¢ with 1 CD, free with 2 CDs.

 

9/15/05: First Actual News Update
The Sabrepulse album Famicom Connection is now available for pre-order!
The album is basically done, copies are $3 just like everything else (except the comps), more info is available in the Shop. The Kkrusty EP imgonnabeatthiskidsheadin and Restart's Koreha Tsugini Kuru are also available, samples of all three releases will be up soon.
